The Problem
Vitrex approached Rare to develop their brand and apply the new designs to their entire product range.
The Solution
Rare worked closely with the marketing team to modernise the existing Vitrex brand. It was important to ensure that the icon worked both as a standalone brand as well as on all product packaging and marketing collateral. With the new brand created we applied the design principles to packaging for over 600 different products - each colour coded to help consumers find the tool they require more easily. We also designed a series of brochures, product literature, direct mail campaigns and point of sale displays. We supported this activity by devising innovative product promotions (targeting both consumers and merchants) and trade and consumer PR.
The Creative
The creative is designed to build on the heritage of the existing brand whilst ensuring that Vitrex products are highly recognisable in a competitive market. As the Vitrex range encompasses a wide selection of products we were careful to ensure the packaging style was adaptable for products of all shapes and sizes. The Rare design team had such an understanding of the market that they were even asked to input into the product development process.
The Results
The Vitrex brand is now firmly established in the tiling and safety markets and has been used to launch more than 600 successful products.
