The Client
Outokumpu Stainless is the Finnish owned leader in the production of Stainless Steel, incorporating the stainless operations of the former British Steel.
The Challenge
Implement a corporate brand makeover across the UK operations and support ongoing marketing requirements.
The Solution
Having been appointed in December 2003 following a multi-agency pitch process Rare implemented the corporate brand across a wide range of marketing materials including brochures, signage and web content. In subsequent years Rare has conceived and created a wide range of projects including direct mail, events, exhibition stands, brochures, product specifiers and sample books, and online content. We are currently assisting local business units update materials following a further brand identity update by the parent company.
The Creative
Whilst in this case we are obliged to work within preset brand identity guidelines we are still challenged to express the brand creatively. Rare has provided added value with new ideas and format concepts, the use of strong imagery and our creativity in producing unique solutions, for example to architect/specifier binders.
The Results
We don't always have objective, tangible results to report! However, the transition to the Outokumpu brand has been successfully completed in the UK and the many projects completed by Rare have played their part in the company's commercial success. Notable were 2 events staged to mark expansion at the main Sheffield site and the range of activities to boost the awareness of the HyClad building steels range to architects and specifiers.
