The Client
A UK manufacturer of high quality audio mixers, zoners, multi-channel amplifiers and headphone distribution systems for the commercial audio market.
The Challenge
Overhaul Cloud's marketing materials (which were previously done in-house) to coincide with a change of ownership and a number of new product launches. Extend marketing activity to include Cloud's authorised USA distributor, and begin commercial advertising in US publications.
The Solution
Harmonise logo structure and usage, and produce a set of brand guidelines. Extend this structure into a new website design and build, then revamp the product catalogue. A project is underway to produce individual datasheets for each product in this new style. We have also designed and produced electronic adverts, commercial advertising and exhibition stands.
The Creative
Retaining the existing strapline "Clearly Better Sound", Rare created a clean, modern style for the website to reflect the cutting-edge nature of Cloud products. The website itself contains a full database of product information along with various other features such as a news manager (capable of displaying news teasers on the home page) and image galleries. The style used Cloud's existing corporate blue and added a charcoal grey as a secondary colour. This ensured that the brand style was colour co-ordinated to the product colours, whilst exuding a feeling of quality and innovation. The charcoal grey was used to give the commercial advertising a modern feel.
The Results
Cloud successfully launched 2 new products so far in 2008, with 3 more to follow in the last quarter. Ongoing marketing support from Rare has ensured that the Cloud brand has remained synonymous with British quality.
