Beach Hut Leisure
The client
Beach Hut Leisure was formed in 2006 to market high quality thatched garden buildings in the style of tropical beach huts.
The challenge
Create a brand identity that would reflect the Beach Hut personality: young, quality and innovative. Design and produce a consumer brochure that would reflect the upmarket, quality feel of the range and launch it into the outdoor living market. Timing dictated that the need to arrange outdoor lifestyle photography that appeared to be in summer but was actually in Barnsley in December!
The solution
The first stage of the project was to create the brand identity along with guidelines for its application across a range of media. The centre piece of the marketing suite was a 16 page brochure provided to distributors and retail outlets to hand on to interested consumers. To reflect the premium positioning of the product range a high quality feel was sought for the brochure. Supporting items included point of sale material, stationery and signage. Finally Rare handled all print and production and delivered the final solution on budget and on time for the launch.
The creative
First we created a fresh, contemporary logo incorporating a stylised graphic of a Beach Hut roof. Adopting a soft green colour palette to evoke the outdoor nature of the product, our creative team produced a striking brochure that displayed the product to best effect and captured the many moods of the Beach Hut proposition. The use of detail shots and the display of alternative applications added to the ambience that the brochure created.
The results
Following a successful product launch, Beach Hut Leisure has rapidly built its distributor network and created a growing stream of sales and installations. Success has led Beach Hut to significantly expand the range, for launch at GLEE 2008, supported by a newly updated brochure and marketing literature suite.
